The Weighted Average Decision Matrix (WADM) is a powerful quantitative decision helper. It works by:

How Weighted Average Decision Matrix (WADM) Works
Making important decisions can be overwhelming when there are multiple choices and multiple conflicting factors to consider. The Weighted Average Decision Matrix (WADM) removes emotion and brings mathematical clarity to your choices.
Define Your Goal
Start by putting down your decision question or title. This keeps you focused on what you are trying to solve (e.g. "Which college should I attend?").
Identify Alternatives (Options)
Add the different options or alternatives you are choosing between. These will form the columns of your matrix.
List Decision Criteria & Weights
List the factors or qualities that are important to you (e.g. Salary, Work-life balance, Commute). Rate each criterion's Weight from 1 (lowest importance) to 10 (highest importance).
Rate Each Option
Assign a score from 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent) for every option on each criterion. For example, if a job has a high salary, give it a score of 9 or 10 on the "Salary" criterion.
The Formula
For each option, Decisioner calculates a weighted score for each criterion:
Weighted Score = Option Score × Criterion Weight. It then sums these up for each option:
Total Score = ∑ (Scorei × Weighti)
The option with the highest total score is mathematically your best choice based on what you value!
